The University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension provides New Hampshire citizens with research-based education and information, enhancing their ability to make informed decisions that strengthen youth, families and communities, sustain natural resources, and improve the economy.
UNHCE staff in all 10 counties work with local volunteers and specialists on the UNH campus to design and conduct educational programs that meet societal, environmental and economic needs. While many UNHCE programs are conducted locally, the organization also has access to the knowledge and expertise of other state land-grant universities throughout the U.S. as part of the national land-grant university system,
As a member of the Sea Grant & Water Resources program area, I coordinate the Geospatial Technologies Training Center at UNHCE. The training center specializes in GIS and GPS outreach and workshops ranging in length from 2 hours to 10 days. The latest GTTC training workshop descriptions and schedule are available online.
