Distinguishing Characteristics |
- All three pectens with equally fine teeth.
- Swimming hair at base of second segment of three segmented ramus extends beyond end of ramus
- Ocellus present, eye large
- Second abdominal process about 1/4 length of first and is similar in size or smaller when compared to the third
- Spines cover about 1/2 of the ventral margin of the valve
- Moderately large (1-2 mm) with elongate body
- Long shell spine commonly two-thirds or longer than valves
