Distinguishing Characteristics
  • Antennule with 17 segments
  • Fifth leg one segmented, bearing an inner spine and two outer setae
  • Hyaline membrane on last segment of antennae
  • Inner margin of cauldal rami without hairs
  • Metasome darkly pigmented
  • Large species: 1.8 - 2.9 mm long
Reported Habitats
  •  Littoral regions of ponds, lakes and slow moving streams (1).
