Aphanocapsa sp. proliferating in a sample from Lake Attitash, MA USA (42o50'56.04"N, 70o58'58.50"W, elevation 29 m) collected on 9 June 2010 and kept in lab (ambient light and temperature) until 27 July 2010. Bright blue-green cells of this sort were not apparent in the original lake sample.
