The Center for Freshwater Biology at the University of New Hampshire initiated a Citizen-based Cyanobacteria Monitoring Program (CCMP) in 2010, providing assistance to Lake Associations and Drinking Water Facilities in the tracking of cyanobacteria and microcystins in various bodies of water.
