Woronichinia

General Description

• Woronichinia are easily confused with Microcystis and Coelosphaerium
  
• Cells are radial and tube-like or widely oval shaped
• Forms colonies and sub-colonies within a mucilaginous film
• Colony shape are similar to that of pine pollen
• Blue-green to yellow in color sometimes appearing red or brown
