"Silent Bell " -- Bell Kodonion silent -sige (Greek)
Classification:
Codosiga H.J.Clard 1866. Order Craspedomonadales; Family Codonosigaceae Currently 15 species are recognized.
Morphology:
Colonial. Spherical or ovoid cells attached to a pedicel (stalk), branched or unbranched. Often found attached to the colonial diatom Asterionella and the filamentous diatom Melosira.

Attached to planktonic or benthic substrate. Freshwater, brackish, and marine .
