Morphology: |
||||
Green unicells, elongate and curved, with a spine at each end. No isthmus – cell width is the same where the two hemicell walls meet as the adjacent regions; width tapers toward both ends of cell. Two chloroplast with scattered pyrenoids. Crystals are present in terminal vacuoles. |
