Morphology: |

Green unicells variable in length, tapering toward each end, with only a slight indentation at the isthmus. Incised deeply at each end. Two chloroplasts (one in each hemicell), stellate in cross-section, extending the length of hemicell. One or more pyrenoids along each chloroplast. |
