Morphology: |

Cylindrical filaments that group
together to form radially symmetrical shapes. Many
can have setae on the upper surfaces.
Contain many branched filaments. Contain a single chloroplast. Asexual reproduction via
zoospores or aplanospores. Sexual reproduction is oogamous (Luther and Hällfors
1981). Zygote thick-walled, containing
reddish to yellowish oil droplets. |
