Order Chlamydomonadales;  Family Chlorosarcinaceae

 

Morphology:

Individual cells are spheres, compressed together into grape like groups.

Similar genera:

Chlorosarcina

Habitat:

Found in soils of ranging from North America to Saudi Arabia.
