Morphology: |
||||
Non-flagellated colonies of four cells
in one plane, or tetrahedral with space between cells. Cells oval, 3 – 8 µm long.
Cells retain a fragment of parental cell wall, and larger colonies
comprised of the 4-cell groups may develop as a result of attachment to these
fragments. No flagellated stage known.
