Morphology:
|
||||
Green colonies (coenobia) of four nonflagellate
spherical cells held together with remnants of parent cell wall, can
aggregate with mucilage matrix to more than 25 colonies. Each cell is 3-13 µm
in diameter and has one chloroplast.

Similar genera:
|
||||
Dictyosphaerium has more space between cells in each coenobium. |
