Morphology: |

Spindle-shaped or elongated ellipsoidal with two equal length flagella at anterior end. There are at least two contractile vacuoles one positioned at each end of the cell. Chloroplasts is parietal, lacking pyrenoids or with one or more pyrenoids (Nozaki 2003). |
