Unicellular to ellipsoidal to nearly cylindrical
and contain four flagella that are found on depression on the anterior of the
cell. Contains a cell wall.
Asexual reproduction by zoosporogenesis which produces four motile daughter cells. |

Habitat: |

Mostly found in marine waters but can be found in
acidic ponds.
Requires a large concentration of nitrogen and a small concentration of phosphorous in order to have a bloom. |
