Morphology:

Elongate ‘fusiform’
shape, drawn out to a fine tip at both ends of cell. Anisogamous,
smaller male gametes are biflagellate and have an eyespot (Hoffman 1983). |

Habitat:

Damp
soil, as in pond soil. Can be
reconstituted from dry soil (Hoffman 1983) |
