Morphology: |
||||
Unicellular nonmotile cell during most of its life cycle, cell attached by a stalk to a sand grain. Also has a flagellate stage. The ultrastructure has been studied with emphasis on the apical stalk (Horiguchi and Yoshizawa-Ebata 2006).
