Morphology:

Heteromorphic life cycle
where both gametophytes and sporophytes are macroscopic. Gametophytes are erect, amorphous to
spherical, highly porous with plurilocular gametangia. Sporophytes are prostrate and develop both
plurilocular and unilocular sporangia (Dawes and Mathieson 2008). |
