Morphology: |
||||
Erect gametophytes 15 – 70 cm tall, 5-10 mm wide, tapering near base and apex. Plurilocular gametangia are 3 – 10 µm in diameter and up to 65 µm long are tubular with regular constrictions that look somewhat like linked sausages. Grow in parallel clusters (Dawes and Mathieson 2008).
