Morphology: |
||||
Erect thallus is wiry with alternate to irregular branching and a distinct main axis. Branchlets terminate with filamentous tufts charqachteristic of genera in Order Sporochnaceae (Dawes and Mathieson 2008).

Marine subtropical habitats. Reported from Florida, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Antilles, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil and the Canary Islands (Ibid.).
