Morphology: |
||||
Four ovoid or cells 6 x 12 µm, within a hemispherical gelatinous mass. Each cell has one or two long slender gelatinous hairs with sheathed bases (Prescott and Croasdale 1942). Similar to other glaucids the bluegreen cyanelles are thought to be endosymbionts within a tetrasporaceious host. |
