Glyphodiscus Greville 1862; 1 of 2 species descriptions is currently accepted taxonomically (Guiry and Guiry 2013).However, a brief internet search finds at least 10 species names: barnardi Kinghorn 1939, grunowi (author?), intermedius N.I. Strelnikova , magnificus Mah 2005, mcknighti Rowe 1989, oamaruensis (author?), pentagonalis Mah 2005, perierctus Fisher 1917, scintillans (author?), stellatus (author?), and subspecies stellatus var. scintillans (author?).Order Triceratiales; Family Triceratiaceae |

Partially quadrate disc with four well rounded ‘corners’, within each is a prominent oval mammillate ‘eye’ (Greville 1862). |

Similar genera: |

Auliscus is not at all quadrate. |
