Most cyanobacterial colonies are unicells bound together with excreted muco-
polysaccharides.  Some are trichomes or filaments bound together in parallel (Aphanizomenon, Microcoleus), radiating from the center (Gloeotrichia, Rivularia), or randomly (Nostoc). These can be reached in PhycoKey either along the colonial or filamentous lines.
